"I wanted to praise the Mindful Movement Instructors for all the help they provided to me and my wife. When I started at Mindful Movement at my wife's prodding I didn't think it would do much for me. I started with a shoulder and neck class instructed by Julie Dillon and it began to help my back. At the time of the first class I was having trouble with numbness in my right leg and foot. My foot would also cramp and I had trouble rocking from side to side without pain. I saw a little improvement at the end of the first class. We then signed up for a lower back, pelvis and hip class taught by Stefany Theunissen. At the beginning of this class I was in pain doing several of the exercises and movements. By the end of this class I was seeing marked improvement in my back, leg and foot. I could complete the exercises with minimal pain and had reduced the numbness in my leg and foot. I decided to take the class for a second session. About two thirds of the way through the second class I was walking and felt something move in my lower back. That movement reduced the pain, allowed me to begin walking up and down stairs in a normal way, improved my running, and reduced the numbness in my leg and foot. I attribute my physical improvement to the knowledge, skill and patience of Stefany and Julie. I would recommend Mindful Movement and these instructors to anyone considering physical training/therapy. I want to publicly thank them for all their help. I am signing up for a fourth class at Mindful Movement. Thanks Stefany and Julie."

"I came to Mindful Movement from another physical therapy facility because I needed a change.  I began PT with Sharon Reynolds for my right arm and shoulder.  The first issue Sharon addressed was my poor posture.  Immediately, I felt a difference.  I began supplementing PT with massage therapy from Sarah Holland at Mindful Movement, which improved the range of motion of my arm and shoulder.  I have also been taking advantage of the rehab classes.  I recently finished the Shoulder 1 class with Julie Dillon.  Presently I am in the Shoulder 2 with Kelly Paquet, and the Lower  Back class with Stefany Theunissen.  All three of my instructors are very knowledgeable and effectively communicate both verbally and visually.  All three practice what they teach and they make each class fun and informative.

I feel I am creating the foundation to move mindfully from this point forward in my life.  Mindful Movement is a place of peace and balance that allows healing to occur and my experience has been very positive."

"After years of visiting chiropractors and physical therapists with few results I was very skeptical of the Physical Therapy field.  When my Dr. recommended I go to Mindful Movement I was anything but thrilled.  I came to my first appointment not expecting to be helped; but now, a few months later I'm so excited to say I was wrong.  After my first week of PT at Mindful Movement my constant piercing headaches, lower back pain and shoulder pain started diminishing.  The encouraging results motivated me to keep coming to my appointments and to be consistent with the at home exercises my PT, Stefany, gave me.  After about 3 weeks I started waking up in the morning with NO TRACE of any headache!  I had forgotten what it was like to wake up without pain and was thrilled to be working with a Therapist who was helping me so much!

Treatments with Stefany continued to improve my condition.  Learning how to sit and stand better assisted with keeping the pain from returning.  Attending Pilates classes at Mindful Movement has also helped me learn how to keep my body in proper alignment.  Through the classes I've learned about deep breathing, how to strengthen my core and how to gain better posture, all of which have helped maintain the progress I made with Stefany.  I'm so thankful for Stefany and the entire Mindful Movement Team and the role they've played in my healing."

"I severely fractured my leg three years ago.  Many complications were created from being in a wheel chair and having to use a walker.  The previous four physical therapists were largely ineffective and created unsatisfactory results.  Thanks to Jolynn and Sue, I am walking and moving quite well.  They have gone more than the extra mile in advocating for me with physicians, when necessary, and using their time to be sure the best and the right thing was always being done for me.  The progress I have made could not have been done without them.  Rave reviews go to Jolynn, as a physical therapist and to Sue for Pilates rehab.  And not in the least, is my deepest gratitude to Jolynn and Sue for restoring my body strength and spirit."

"I am a stroke survivor. Several years ago, I experienced a cerebral stroke that affected the entire right of my body. In the ensuing years I had received physical therapy of one sort or another from no fewer than 5 different clinics.Initially the attending therapists helped me relearn to write my name and relearn to walk with the aid of an AFO. After 5 years I "hit the wall" of recovery or no more gain.Subequently, because of my uneven walking gait I developed acute sciatica back pain. My wonderful accupuncturist suggested I work with Jolynn Nelson at Mindful Movement and I followed her advice. I could give rave reviews about how Ms.Nelson worked with me and not just my presenting symptoms in a formulaic manner. Needless to say as of this writing. My back pain has subsided and my AFO is now history. The atmosphere at Mindful Movement is warm and personable and ultra professional."
