Jolynn Nelson

Co-Owner
Jolynn Nelson is the
co-owner of Mindful Movement Studio & Physical
Therapy. She has been a
physical therapist for 20 years. She has earned a
Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy, and a
Master's of Science degree in Kinesiology with
an emphasis on biomechanics. Jolynn also teaches
for Michigan State University's College of
Osteopathic Medicine Continuing Medical
Education Program.
Co-Owner
Sue Forbes is the
co-owner of Mindful Movement Studio & Physical
Therapy. She has been a fitness instructor and
consultant for over 20 years. She is certified
by Stott Pilates in the full repertoire of
equipment and mat work. She is certified by
Polestar Pilates in rehabilitation, advanced
spine, and in the four levels of Critical
Reasoning. She has close to 500
hours in Yoga training towards her certification
by Hilaire Lockwood; and is certified in
Gyrokinesis. Sue is certified as
a personal trainer with the American College of
Sports Medicine, the National Academy of Sports
Medicine, and the Seattle Sports Medicine
clinic. Sue has completed
graduate work in anatomy, internal medicine,
microbiology and pharmacology towards her
Master's degree as a physician's assistant.

Sandy Fields:

Sandy is a certified
white belt NIA instructor. She has been teaching
NIA at Lansing Community College and through
Community Education since 2001. NIA is Sandy's
chosen movement and awareness practice, helping
her with hip replacement surgery in 2005.

Daisy Levy:

Daisy is certified
by The Pilates Center of Boulder, Colorado in
mat and equipment Pilates. She has worked as an
apprentice instructor, instructor and a senior
instructor over the past 7 years in Belmont, MA,
New York City, and Boulder, CO.

Kelly Paquet:

Kelly is a Certified
Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist. She is a 1994 graduate
of Central Michigan University. She has a
Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in
Sports Medicine, minor in nutrition. She has 12
years of experience in rehabilitation and
preventative medicine. Much of her time has been
devoted to high school athletes working as the
head athletic trainer for several years with
various school districts in the Jackson and
Lansing areas. The last four years, her focus
has been more in the clinical component of
physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Kerry Petty:

Kerry Petty, B.A. is
a certified yoga and Pilate's instructor (Stott
training) and a licensed sports massage
therapist. She believes that yoga and Pilates
address the flexibility and core strength that
athletes demand. Kerry brings her background as
a collegiate gymnast and competitive dressage
rider to her teaching and understanding of the
demands placed on an athletic body. Kerry has
provided core Pilates training (both mat and
reformer) and sports massage, to many athletes
including ballet dancers, gymnasts, equestrians,
as well as, basketball players at the
collegiate, European, and NBA levels.
