"TAI CHI - with Kelly Yoakam"  

 

Tai Chi Chuan is an internal Chinese martial arts often practiced with the aim of promoting health and longevity. Tai Chi's training forms are well known as the slow motion routines that groups of people practice together every morning in parks around the world. Some medical studies support its effectiveness as an alternative exercise and a form of martial arts therapy. Practicing Tai Chi in correct form, trains the body to move at all times with good posture and economy of movement.

 

This ten week course will focus on the first section, or 16 forms, of the Yang Style long form. Because this is a progressive course, videos will be available for purchase or loan (with a deposit) for those who are unable to attend all classes.
