GYROKINESIS®: GYROKINESIS® is a mind-body class based on a vision of movement as initiating from the deep pelvis with limitless potentials and directions. The flow of motion moves through combinations of planes and includes arches, tucks, spirals, twists, and turns. The class is conducted on a chair or a mat. It is well suited to the student who is conversant with the principles of movement who is looking for something new and challenging.
Pre-GYROTONIC®: Fluid, rhythmic, spiralling movements are done on low stools, mats and standing. The method systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises. Postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of breath. Everyone is welcome. This class is a great introduction to the movements done on the GYROTONIC® Tower.
NIA: Neurological Integrative Action (NIA) Nia: Through Movement We Find Health Nia is for everyBODY and can be adapted and personalized for every level of fitness and agility. No prior training is necessary. It combines carefully selected movements and concepts from Yoga, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jazz, Modern Dance and other movement forms, Nia welcomes everyone to experience the Joy of Movement and the benefits of moving your body... the body's way.
Principles of Intelligent Movement: Rediscover your body's "inner intelligence" about how to organize itself and move easily. We used to give 20 minutes of exercises to do daily to help people stay fit. Now, exercise all day long by learning how to sit tall, how to move from sitting to standing using the seat muscles, how to stand in your center, how to climb stairs and how to reach through your whole body while vacuuming, doing yard work, etc. Get more bang for your exercise buck by learning to use your muscles appropriately in all your daily activities. This is a great class for EVERYONE.
Rolling & Stretching: Ever wonder why your stretches don't seem to work? Sometimes the connective tissue around the muscles has become hardened and it doesn't allow the muscle to lengthen. We use Y balls and foam rollers to soften these tissues. Then the muscles are stretched! The class ends with movements that help your body integrate the new found length of your mu scles.

Strength & Balance: A great class using balls, light weights and bands to work on improving your balance and strength in a functional way. Multi-level
Strengthen & Stretch: A series of total body strength exercises using various pieces of equipment. i.e. bands, resistaballs, rollers. Focusing on posture and core strength - many stretches will be incorporated into the workout to relieve stress and increase flexibility.
Tai-Chi: Tai Chi Chuan is an internal Chinese martial arts often practiced with the aim of promoting health and longevity. Some medical studies support its effectiveness as an alternative exercise and a form of martial arts therapy. Practicing Tai Chi in correct form, trains the body to move at all times with good posture and economy of movement. The ability to tone core muscles (or center of mass, or dantien) improves balance stamina, and strengthens lower back muscles. Learning how to "feel" good body mechanics, protects from injury in physical activities such as walking, running, playing musical instruments, and gardening. This 8 week course will focus on the first section, or 16 forms, of the Yang Style long form.
